When you use our cover letter generator, you may enter your name, job title, company name, work experience, and job description text. This information is transmitted to our AI provider (Google Gemini) solely to generate your cover letter. We do not store this content on our servers after your session ends.

When you visit our site, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:

- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring URL
- Device type and operating system
This data is collected via Google Analytics and is used in aggregated, anonymized form to understand how visitors use our site and improve our service.
1.3 Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your daily usage count and Pro subscription status on your device. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

1.4 Payment information

6. Data Retention
We do not store the text you enter into our cover letter generator. Usage counts stored in your browser's local storage remain on your device and are automatically cleared after 24 hours. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 26 months in aggregated, anonymized form.
7. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from our site. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
LetterCraft AI is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
Our service is hosted in the United States via Vercel. If you access our service from the EU or other regions with data protection laws, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries that may not have the same data protection laws as your country.
